FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Quick answers to the things clients ask before we start a project. If yours isn't here, just send a note.

  • What does Source IE do?

Source IE designs and builds websites and web apps, builds AI tools and visibility infrastructure that get businesses found by AI search, and runs content & marketing systems. Automation is used where it genuinely speeds up the work.

  • Who runs Source IE?

A single founder-operator with 30 years in affiliate marketing and ecommerce. You work directly with the person doing the work — no account managers, no handoffs.

  • Where are you based and who do you work with?

Based in Lake Norden, SD and working remotely with clients globally. Engagements run as fixed-scope projects or ongoing retainers.

  • How long does a typical project take?

A marketing site usually ships in 2–4 weeks. Ecommerce builds and custom web apps typically run 4–10 weeks depending on scope.

  • What does it cost?

Pricing is scoped per project after a short discovery call. Most engagements fall between a few thousand and mid-five-figures, depending on surface area and timeline. You'll get a fixed number, not an hourly estimate.

  • What tech stack do you build on?

Modern, edge-first: TanStack Start / React, TypeScript, Tailwind, Postgres, and Cloudflare. For ecommerce, Shopify, headless, or custom depending on what fits. Everything is handed over cleanly — you own the code, infra, and data.

  • Do you use AI in the work?

Yes, where it earns its keep — drafting, classification, internal tools, and workflow automation. AI is a tool, not the product. You won't get generic AI-generated content shipped under your name.

  • How do I get started?

Send a short note via the contact page describing what you're building. You'll get a direct reply within 1–2 business days with a read on fit, scope, and what to ship first.
